It was a momentous day for AEC Group as a supporting party of the GBA Low Carbon Buildings TOP 100 Award Photobook Launch & Awardees Sharing ("the Event"). The Event concluded successfully yesterday (10 May) at Build4Asia 2023, with a full house of around 180 participants and prominent leaders in the industry.
In celebration of the Event's topic of "low-carbon building," AEC Group supported GBACNA a carbon credit certificate as a token of appreciation for our guests of honor and speakers' wonderful sharing today. The carbon credits are generated by an Indian hydropower plant to minimize and offset the carbon emissions produced by the attendees' modes of transportation to this event.
The Event gathered a line-up of renowned industry experts including Mr. WONG Chuen-fai, J.P., the Commissioner for Climate Change of the Environment and Ecology Bureau, Mr. CHAN Pak-Cheung, the Assistant Director (Building Services) of Architectural Services Department, and Dr. CHEUNG Tin-cheung, the Chairman of the Hong Kong Green Building Council to share their professional insights on how to transit to decarbonization in the built environment in GBA and accelerate carbon neutrality through collaborative efforts from the government and different stakeholders in the building industry. In the low carbon building case-sharing session, four highly respected green building practitioners from the GBA Low Carbon Buildings TOP 100 Awardees including Mr. Johnny YU, Ching-yan, the Advisor to Chairman from Henderson Land Development Co. Ltd., Dr. Raymond YAU, Man-hung, the General Manager of Technical Services & Sustainable Development from Swire Properties Limited, Mr. Don TSE, the Assistant General Manager of Technical Services in Property Management from Hongkong Land Limited and Mr. Lewis LAM, Y.H, the Deputy General Manager (Property Management) from Kai Shing Management Services Ltd. delivered a variety of inspiring low carbon building case sharing.
