A lot of exciting events happening in the sustainable development industry these past few days! Our CEO and Executive Director, Mr. Dennis Wu, participated in the first Sustainable Disclosure Forum organized by the Securities and Futures Commission (SFC) on 13 Nov Tuesday. Over 200 leaders from the financial industry and private sectors were gathered to explore how to develop a sustainability disclosure ecosystem for Hong Kong, and to raise the awareness of sustainability reporting against international standards. What an insightful experience!
It was enriching to explore how ISSB-aligned disclosures enable market participants to capture enormous fund-raising opportunities, thanks to the thought-provoking panel discussions during the forum. It was also inspiring to hear from Ms. Sue Lloyd, Vice Chair of International Sustainability Standards Board (ISSB), who shared her positive outlook on the work of the Green and Sustainable Finance Cross-Agency Steering Group to develop a comprehensive Hong Kong roadmap for adopting the ISSB standards in Hong Kong.
