Helicopter noise had arisen as an environmental concern for a proposed residential development project in Tai Po due to the existing helipad in the proximity of the subject site. To abate the overall noise level, AEC conducted a noise impact assessment, integrating design features and mitigation measures. The design features include building a setback, innovative building layout, architectural fin with noise screening, and internal layout design with different glazing materials to minimize openable windows for ventilation facing directly to Helipad.
